With close to a decade of experience building enterprise backend systems, I specialize in designing software that holds up under real-world pressure, not just the happy path. I’ve worked across finance, logistics, sports media, utilities, and education, contributing to both small focused teams and large multi-team initiatives spanning dozens of engineers.

My core stack is Node.js, TypeScript, and NestJS, backed by experience with cloud infrastructure, infrastructure as code, and SQL databases. I’ve also worked in Go and Python, and earlier in my career did native iOS development in Swift, which gave me a cross-platform perspective I still carry into backend architecture decisions today.

Much of my career has been spent in the modernization space: lifting legacy systems off aging on-prem infrastructure, rewriting brittle codebases, and upgrading platforms to meet the demands of modern scale. I’ve worked on systems processing millions of records daily, where uptime isn’t optional and failure has downstream consequences. That environment shaped how I think about software, not just how it performs under expected load, but how it behaves when people push it in ways it wasn’t designed for.

That instinct for thinking beyond the intended use case is something I bring to every project. Good system design accounts for how software will actually be used in the wild, not just how it was meant to be used. I thrive on building systems that are thoughtfully designed, resilient by default, and built to last.
